Baggy Point Hotel, Treacle Factory

A proposal to add an additional floor for a marketing company based in the Old Treacle Factory.  The renovated factory its self was extended over a decade ago, and due to planning restrictions the additional floor had to complement both the original white rendered factory building and its contemporary extension.

The proposed split level upper floor has a central access area providing both the hidden structure and services core.  Also, it neatly splits the two sides, allowing maximum use of space created.  By using metsec roof joists and the central access core as structure, the two floor areas are completely open plan with the ceiling spanning effortlessly above.
